Joe Fain is an attorney, strategy consultant, and experienced government official in the Puget Sound region. He has previously served as Chief of Staff to King County Council district seven, Director of Economic Development for the University of Washington’s center for innovation, commercialization, and technology transfer (CoMotion), as well as a deputy prosecutor in King County. He also has extensive experience in public affairs and communications.
Joe was elected to two terms in the Washington State Senate where he served as Majority Floor Leader. He previously co-chaired the Washington State Institute for Public Policy, and served on the Ways & Means; Financial Institutions and Insurance; Healthcare; Early Education and K-12, Transportation; and Rules committees.
Joe was recognized as one of Puget Sound Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2013, and by the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce with the Scott White Regional Leadership Award in 2015. He is a 2016 Rodel Fellow with the Aspen Institute.
Joe earned his Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration from Seattle University after graduating from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
